The Serengeti is famous for its magnificent wildlife, and zebras are an important part of the Great Migration. While wildebeest often steal the spotlight with their dramatic river crossings, zebras play a key role in this famous event!
Calving season is in full bloom!
The rains have fallen, and the wildebeest have officially started calving. Within a two-to-three-week time period, over half a million wildebeest are being born with as many as 8000 wildebeest being born on the same day.
